AN URBAN MYTH
The Wedding Crasher is a single camera drama college project that was devised by Jess Sheard and Mark Lovegrove. We were given a sheet which explained how a man gets everyone to his wedding only to reveal his wife has been sleeping with the best man - and that exposing him to all the guests is the only way he can truly get revenge. However, our production adapted that idea and proved he could have more up his sleeve to make amends to the hurt & sorrow he has suffered...

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT
Unlike other groups in our class, we filmed this production in one location - our main classroom! Thanks to the help of John Westell and Gareth Dobson, plus all of our classmates - we were able to transform the room into a wedding scene. There were three seperate shoots. The first was of Joe in his bedroom, the second of the head table & lastly the guests in the hall.

The production was nominated for best single camera drama at the 2006 AFTA awards, however the winner was The Kings Iron Horse, a production about a Harley Davidson motorbike that was originally owned by James Dean. This film may be entered into the OFVM summer awards.

Charlie Spence played the main character - learning his lines as he went along. There was very little time for rehearsals but we were impressed with all the acting! Jess also spent over £90 on this production - thanks Jess, and for the cake - too!
