Welcome to the music home page of Mark "Mods" Lovegrove, a composer from the UK who has been writing music for adventure games since 1995.

Mark composes retro computer music for point & click adventures and other popular freeware titles & is recognised for his work on several games by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, of Zero Punctuation.

Composing as a hobby, his scores have accompanied many popular freeware adventure games and other computer game projects. This website showcases his MIDI & MP3s.

His main inspiration comes from 20th century classical music, commonly used in todays films. His favourite composers include M. Kamen, A. Silvestri, J. Williams, J. Ottman & D. Elfman. His favourite scores are Predator, Die Hard, Jurassic Park and Back To The Future. "They are so vibrant, so dramatic! I love creating emotion in music, but most of all making each tune a tale in itself."

Working on music to suit all kinds of needs for adventure developers, he has more recently focussed on music to cue. His favourite adventure soundtracks include Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle and The Dig. "Michael Land is a big inspiration!"
